sponsor a project

Please note that in all the projects below we have not included any staff wages. The average monthly wage is approx $170 USD a month for the teachers and approx $160 per month for the psycho-social staff.

We have many different projects some of which include:

  • Annual Summer Camp - $5000.00 USD. This will allow the children who are unable to join the camp for full two weeks to make a day visit to the summer camp and approx. 100
children to participate in one day excursions.
  • Handy Craft work shops - $300.00 USD. This will cater for 40-50 children per month.
  • Computer courses - $180.00 USD. This will provide for 6 children per month.
  • Parent Support groups - $20.00 USD per week. This involves parents meeting weekly as a group with a social worker and psychologist.
  • Excursions for the children – Inner city excursions cost on average $4.00 per child and outer city excursions on average $15.00 per child (includes mini bus hire and 2 meals).
  • Educational game projects $150.00 – Educational games are expensive, so what we do is looking at the original game we show groups of parents how to recreate and build the
games. They often then play with the games when the playroom is closed or the children are too sick to leave their bed.

Please contact us for more information on sponsorship and how to send financial donations (or donations in kind) to us.

sponsor a child

There are many children with chronic or terminal conditions that need to stay in hospital for lengthy periods of time. As we are unable to accommodate most people that need the PFH, we try to provide for the very poor families from the villages the same support of those living in the PFH. The main difference is the parent will sleep in the chair by the bed, or possibly share the bed with their child depending on the illness. If there is more than one parent that has come to Yerevan, the father typically will try to find anywhere he can sleep in the surrounding areas.

$600.00 USD per year will allow us to provide for a child and their family for 12 months (please note that this may happen by sponsoring 4 children for 3 months each or other variances depending on the length of their hospital stay).

Please contact us for more information on sponsorship and how to send financial donations (or donations in kind) to us.

sponsor a family

When families need to move to the city and we can not accommodate them at the PFH, our social workers need to show them the ropes and help them get set up. This can involve helping them with the dept. of Social Security, dealing with hospital and governmental officials, understanding life in Yerevan and many more things depending on the family. It is difficult for us to fathom how unfamiliar it is to move to the city and have no money to do anything or any idea on how to even survive by doing a simple thing such as how and where to catch the buses.

This is a very labour intensive process for the social worker and uses up much of their time, especially in trying to find them very cheap housing (which is still expensive for most villagers).

Without the help of the social worker, many of these families CAN NOT cope and they will take their sick child and go back to the village, as they have no idea on how to function in the city. Village life has no reality here.

$1,200 per year will include money for food, transport, basic essentials and other needs the families will have.

Please contact us for more information on sponsorship and how to send financial donations (or donations in kind) to us.

adopt a pfh room

$600.00 USD per year will cover the cost for a mother and child to have a room, food, transport (within the city) and 1 return trip back to their village per month.

The Haematology hospital does not allow the fathers to stay overnight, so if the dads have no relatives in Yerevan they must find something somewhere to just sleep overnight when there is no room at the Patient Family House.

Please contact us for more information on sponsorship and how to send financial donations (or donations in kind) to us.

adopt a hospital playroom

There are other hospitals that desperately need a children's play room, and our goal is to provide for as many of them as we can with teachers and psychologists working in the rooms.

To set up a completely new room, which would involve basic renovations, cleaning, furniture, games, etc the cost would be one of $2,500.00 USD, with an ongoing running cost of approx $90.00 per month (this does not include wages).

Please contact us for more information on sponsorship and how to send financial donations (or donations in kind) to us.
